Learning groups meet for fellowship, prayer and teaching on Sunday mornings, are age related groups of 20-40 people and are a great way to meet people and get involved in the life of the church!

Located all over town, and on different nights of the week, you are sure to find one right for you.

The purpose of the Fellowship Groups is...

" ...to form communities of believers who are growing in their relationship with Christ and each other, spending time in worship, prayer, and the sharing of God's Word, and learning to care for those in God's family and the world."

The vision of these groups is...

...for every attendee of Sierra Bible Church to become an essential part of a community of believers to form a supportive structure through which:

  • Believers are discipled and nurtured
  • Physical, emotional, and relational needs are met
  • a genuine concern for others is developed

 

Fellowship Groups meet in groups of 8 or more people on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at various locations in Reno and Sparks. God has called us to be united in relationships, relationships with each other and with God Himself. We believe that, at the most fundamental level, relationships occur where you are around each other, in close PROXIMITY. We desire to be the gateway to getting connected at church, a place to be recognized, find friends, get support and support others. A place that leads to finding your place “in the body of Christ”

This group is geared for young adults to get to know one another whether single, married, or families (toddlers to young teens). Come and hang out. Get to know us and let us get to know you as we all strive to know God better.

We meet Sunday mornings at the middle hour (9:45am) in the foyer of the church.

Connections Class

The Connections Class is an introductory class to Sierra Bible Church. It is a time to meet the Senior Pastor and his wife in a informal gathering. It is a six week “round robin” (you can come into the class at any week) in which the history, vision, and core values of the church are discussed. Furthermore our process for discipleship is explained. Over half of each class is left open for questions about our theology, pastoral training, and any other subject one would want answered to help in considering us as a church home. We meet during the middle hour on Sunday morning in the foyer at the couches. Please come and join us!

New Believer's Class

The New Believer’s Study is the perfect class for those, college age and above who desire to learn the basics of God’s Word in an informal family friendly atmosphere. The Class is following a book called Growing in Christ and the lessons are discussed each week. Open discussion is not only encouraged but used to answer any questions about the Bible. The goal of the class is to present the fundamentals of the Christian faith in a simple way to help the new believer or someone searching about who God is. Some of the topics include assurance on salvation, answered prayer, victory over temptation forgiveness, giving, services and how to share your faith.
